Parashas of the Torah
Parashas
Deuteronomy 31:10-11 says we are to read the Book of the Law every 7 years.
At the end of every seven years, at the appointed time in the year of remission of debt, during the Holiday of Booths, when all Israel comes to appear before the L-RD your G-d in the place He will choose, you shall read this law before all Israel, in their hearing.
The Torah is currently divided into 52 parashas and one is read every week (meaning the Torah is read once every one year, not every seven years). There are many incredible lessons in each of the parashas (I am currently reading one parasha every seven weeks).
I did read that a seven year period had in fact started again at the beginning of the Torah reading period in 2020. I will find sources for this reference asap.
